Chosen anti-trafficking film TONIGHT!

Chosen Premiere Film Showing in Seattle
Tickets still available 1-866-437-5433
This event is on 26 September 2013
7:30pm Seattle Aquarium

On Thursday, September 26, 2013, the Seattle Aquarium will open its doors and turn down the lights for students and community members at the Seattle Premiere of Chosen. The gripping new film tells the shocking true story of two All-American girls tricked into trafficking. Brianna and Lacy explain how pimps targeted them in their Washington neighborhoods and how they were rescued. The film was created by Shared Hope International, an international anti-trafficking organization founded by former Washington Congresswoman Linda Smith, to educate youth on the dangers of trafficking.
Today in America, experts estimate at least 100,000 U.S. children are being trafficking within U.S. borders, at the alarming average age of 13 years old. The film and corresponding action pack teach youth the warning signs of trafficking and equip them with resources to protect themselves and others.

Successful Safeway Event

Last Saturday we partnered with Safeway Markets giving away fingerprint kits and You Can’t Fool Me, Be a Safe Kid coloring books. Many parents showed their appreciation by thanking us for helping the children. We want to thank Brewton-Hight Farmers Insurance of Silverdale for donating the fingerprint/ID Kits and The Kitsap Community Consortium for funding the Be a Safe Kid coloring books.  A thank you for all the volunteers, Maggie, Gigi, Bernie, Judy and Dan, who helped make this event a success!
Dan presents the Bremerton Callow store manager with fingerprint kits and coloring books for the employees.
Maggie explained how fingerprinting works to an interested Dad in Silverdale.
